amavi in Goettingen

We celebrated our wedding at amavi last year. Unique ambience, excellent food, highly motivated and friendly staff. For us it was an unforgettable day, very positive feedback from our guests. We recommend.

Super tasty, fun but excellent service. Chic interior and good drinks too. The pasta with the zucchini cream are recommended. The mojitos were great for Göttingen and the wine was good too. I found the price-performance ratio to be good. I dare to doubt whether the espresso martini really has to be made with tequila, but I'm happy about the creativity.

Very good main course, but unfortunately the side dishes offered in system form, as well as the service and, above all, the ambience and the associated higher prices are not appropriate ... Above all, the ambience, which at best gives a glimpse of any tracks otherwise it resembles a very noisy train station hall, where people like to roar and screech like a brewery; It's a shame for the good goods, as with so many other Italians, you should shorten the cheap pizza and pasta list and look for more comfort, consistent quality and service.

We were there with several people. Had a table on the terrace. Incorrect entry of contact details, employees do not wear the MNS correctly. Boss / head waiter argued loudly in front of guests with employees. The food was delicious, the atmosphere could be improved. Apparently only one person is allowed to take orders there and they could use a bag of charm and friendliness.

05.09.2020 table for two at half past six! No minimum clearance in the interior. Every seat was taken. Eating good - but in Corona times - not again for me!

We were just there when the store opened, so it was still quite empty. Had the choice whether inside or outside, when we decided to go inside, it was looked funny at first. (Didn't feel like watching the 100 wasps that were already flying on the terrace) Food was delicious, the service Solala. Drinks from the second round stood longer on a tray no 2 meters away from us, so we thought about getting them ourselves. Glasses were hardly put away. Unfortunately, at the end we had ordered coffee, 2 latte macchiato and a milk coffee, there were three identical-looking coffees, where the waiter tried to make it clear that everything was the same. We took it anyway, because we didn't feel like having big discussions.

Best Italian of the year. And that in Göttingen. Pizza and salad with salmon absolutely great. Rosato good too. Service courteous and extremely attentive. Come again.

On our first visit, we liked the food and ambience better. Unfortunately we were less lucky now and were not able to experience any special features on the day ticket. The Amavi is good and uses high quality products, but not worth 5 stars.

Amavi is one of the best Italian restaurants in Göttingen. Food, service and atmosphere are top. I especially recommend pizza, for it is the closest to Neapolitan pizza dough you can get in Göttingen. However, the toppings and ingredients on the pizze are of course a very modern creation which strongly differ from Neapolitan pizza, but they are still excellent. Fish is a second specialty. Fresh and very Italian -it is almost magic to get that in the middle of Germany- they serve you fish just as you would get it in a restaurant in front of the Mediterranean: fresh, simple grilled and with perfectly cooked vegetables. My next favorite are the antipasti. A delicately curated selection of the best of sea and land, grilled or raw, with delicious bread. Pastas are also ok. Even Italians will be delighted with them. There's nothing you can do wrong when ordering food and drinks here. Thanks, guys!

Very dear service, drinks and food are incredibly delicious! The atmosphere is coherent and very modern, really nice ? Too bad that there is currently no pizza, because it is also very good .. but there are other times! For me it is still the best Italian in Göttingen. ♥ ️

I was "first" there twice, but each time it was highly recommended! The first time on recommendation for lunch, nice little lunch menu, very delicious food and really nice staff. Could sit outside back then was very pleasant! The second time for the anniversary in the evening, totally cozy atmosphere, starter, main and dessert super delicious, prices reasonable and as always friendly staff! Gladly again! It's something special for us!

Thursday, 08.08.2019 1pm. Delicious food, pizza roast beef was unique. The service attentive and friendly. There was water for my rigback. We liked it very much. It was very cozy on the covered terrace.

Modern Italian. The food is amazing, service impeccable and the ambiance takes it all. A nice place for a few cocktails on the patio or a 3 course meal with a glass (or 2) of wine.

The food here tastes fantastic. The dishes are great. The staff is friendly and happy to joke with the customers. The drinks at the bar are well done, here you feel comfortable.

Great italian restaurant. They adapt classical italian dishes to german ingredients, but with creativity and skills! My favourite are the fish/seafood dishes, but the meat ones have always been cooked perfectly. The menu is not the cheapest but sometimes you need to pay extra for quality and it changes a bit every season. If you want to try something new but can't spend too much, there's a special weekday lunch menu at ~12€ (starter + main) with coffee + mini dessert for 3€ extra. This lunch menu changes every month. They also have the typical pizza and pasta dishes but honestly I never order them.
